Lavochkin La-250A 'Anakonda'

The latest offering from the Ukrainian manufacturer Amodel comprises 100 parts moulded in mid-grey plastic with engraved panel detail that is adequate rather than crisp. Amodel's moulding gets better with each new release and this one is typical of their work - with a modicum of flash and some incredibly delicate parts. The sprue gates are rather large and care is needed when removing the parts

The La-250 was Lavochkin's final attempt at a jet fighter before the design bureau was switched to making missiles.

Only 4 examples were built and the design was unsuccessful.

Decals are provided for the 4th prototype '04 red' preserved at Monino. My walkround photographs of this machine were published in Vol 1 Issue 5 May 2002 publication of Model Aircraft Monthly.
